Andersen's L-Service is a one-man consultancy owned by Erik Andersen, the ITU-T Rapporteur on Directories. The company is located in Denmark, but operates internationally. Besides providing general data communications consultancy, the company has more than 20 years of Directory experience.

The company specialises among other in the following:

Directory technologies and their deployments. This includes X.500 directories, LDAP directories and directory specifications used for Operator Directory Assistance.
Public-Key Infrastructure (X.509 technology) and security in general.
Communications protocols (IBM SNA, OSI Protocols, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc.)
Good knowledge of ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One used for defining standards, including LDAP and X.500)
Good knowledge of XML
Network management, such as OSI management and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
